First we went to the top and looked out

We rode this ride called Insanity.
Insanity - A massive mechanical arm extending out 64 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere Tower at a height of over 900 feet, this Vegas ride will spin you and several other passengers in the open air at speeds of up to three 'G's. You'll be propelled up to an angle of 70 degrees, which will tilt your body into one position — straight down! If you're brave enough to keep your eyes open you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking view of historic downtown Las Vegas.

We rode X-Scream. It takes you up like a roller coaster...
Picture
...Then flings you down and stops just in time!
X-Scream - Ever played on a giant teeter-totter, 866 feet above the ground? With the X-Scream, you can! Its space age, yet simplistic design resembles a massive teeter-totter or a Vegas roller coaster unlike any other ever seen. X-Scream propels you and several other riders headfirst, 27 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower. After being shot over the edge, you'll dangle weightlessly above the Las Vegas Strip before being pulled back and propelled over again for more.
Picture
We rode the Big Shot, it's on the spike sticking out of the top of the Stratosphere.
Big Shot - Strap in and prepare to be shot 160 feet in the air at 45 miles per hour as you overlook the majestic Las Vegas Valley. In a matter of seconds, the Big Shot thrill ride catapults 16 riders from the 921-foot high platform up the Tower's mast to a height of 1,081 feet and down again. Before you catch your breath, you'll be shot back up again at forces unmatched by other Vegas thrill parks! Experience a gut-wrenching four 'G's of force on the way up, and feel negative 'G's on the way down as your legs dangle in the Las Vegas skyline.

Then we just enjoyed the view.

I had so much fun in Vegas wearing this Adrianna Papell dress!
We went to the Cirque Du Soleil show Zumanity...
...and then out for drinks at New York New York.
Photo shoot time back at our hotel:

This year for New Years Eve, Mike and I, invited a few friends over for an impromptu party at our apartment.
Right before midnight we went up to the rooftop pool that overlooks most of LA and we rang in the new year by watching fireworks from all different places around LA.
We came back to our apartment and heard loud music from our next-door neighbors so we crashed their New Years Eve party and made some new friends in our building. It was a really fun night and I'm looking forward to 2013.

I don't know if you remember but last year around this time I spotted Buddy the Elf in that Gotye song:
This year I was at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art when I spotted him again. I found him in a painting by Magnus Zeller circa 1920 called The Orator.
Here is the video of this scene from the movie:

Last night was Mike's holiday party at The Mondrian Hotel on Sunset Blvd. The theme was a black and gold masquerade cocktail party and dinner. I wore an Aidan Mattox dress of course. :) It was a fun night!

These our some pictures from Jamie and my 1920's "Speakeasy" style Birthday. Jamie picked this classic theme to celebrate our October birthdays this year. It was fun dressing up and we even did "The Charleston"!

Jamie and I made this decoration, we got really into the hand prints lol

Kevin made this photo of him teaching me how to Charleston :)

These are all the photo booth pictures I got at Kyle and Colleen's wedding. So fun!

Shop My Accessories:

*My shoes were a birthday gift from my dad's awesome girlfriend, Rita. Thanks so much! They are not sold online so I put a close match to them.
They were inspired by the $3,000 shoes in this post: I want shoes that scare people.
*My bag was a birthday gift from my Aunt Donna and family. Thanks guys!

*My Tiffany's necklace is a look-a-like I found at a flea market.

*These imPRESS nails are great. I used them before but this time I forgot to use the little wipe they come with to prime your nails so they were falling off all night. Next time I'll remember the wipe!

Pinks is one of those food places that is a must to eat at while your in Los Angeles, it may have even been on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Last year I went for the first time and got a chili dog. I went again for the first time since I moved to LA and this time I got the Lord of the Rings Dog. It was messy but yummy.

I could have done with a little less BBQ sauce...it was all over me haha
