In a matter of seconds, the Big Shot thrill ride catapults 16 riders from the 921-foot high platform up the Tower's mast to a height of 1,081 feet and down again. This year for New Years Eve, Mike and I, invited a few friends over for an impromptu party at our apartment.

Right before midnight we went up to the rooftop pool that overlooks most of LA and we rang in the new year by watching fireworks from all different places around LA.

We came back to our apartment and heard loud music from our next-door neighbors so we crashed their New Years Eve party and made some new friends in our building. It was a really fun night and I'm looking forward to 2013.

This year I was at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art when I spotted him again. I found him in a painting by Magnus Zeller circa 1920 called The Orator.

Last night was Mike's holiday party at The Mondrian Hotel on Sunset Blvd. The theme was a black and gold masquerade cocktail party and dinner. I wore an Aidan Mattox dress of course. :) It was a fun night!

*These imPRESS nails are great. I used them before but this time I forgot to use the little wipe they come with to prime your nails so they were falling off all night. Next time I'll remember the wipe!

Pinks is one of those food places that is a must to eat at while your in Los Angeles, it may have even been on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Last year I went for the first time and got a chili dog. I went again for the first time since I moved to LA and this time I got the Lord of the Rings Dog. It was messy but yummy.
